Buchanan Street, Glasgow

Buchanan Street in Glasgow is the main shopping area of the city, with the majority of the city's top retailers having a presence on this pedestrianised area.

The street is anchored at one end by Frasers' department store, with Buchanan Galleries at the other. In between these, you will find such retailers as Footlocker, Timberland, Vodafone, All Saints, Monsoon, Borders and Zavvi (was Virgin Megastore).

Worth a visit is Princes Square shopping centre. Not only does it contain such premium shops as Ted Baker, French Connection and Jo Malone, but also houses some of the best eateries and bars in the city.

If you are visiting the city, you can access this street by parking at Buchanan Galleries to the north and the St Enoch Centre to the south. You will also find the street well served by Glasgow's Clockwork Orange, which is the nickname for the local Subway system. There are two stations in the street - St Enoch and of course, Buchanan Street! There are several park and ride facilities around the city, which provide fast access in and out of the city.
